Our Story

A note from the owner, Marra:

​

“As a young child I always dreamt of become an artist. During my teens, I thought I wanted to pursue being a therapist. In my 20s, I decided to become a hairstylist and it was the perfect balance between both.

​

In 2013, my son, Greyson was born and it changed my world. I felt an overwhelming love like I have never felt. It made me realize how much I enjoyed empowering others, not only to my son but to the people in my life.

 

Despite losing my dad (who was one of my best friends) to cancer in 2016, his life lesson of teaching me to be strong, take care of others, be kind, laugh whenever you can, cry when you need to but always dust yourself off and keep going. His words feel so powerful now.

In 2025, I founded Grey Rose Salon. I put my heart and soul into this shop with the help of my family and my empowering team of women. This new venture has been a roller coaster of emotions, but it is one of the best decisions I have ever made for myself, and our family.

Grey Rose Salon is an environment where people feel safe to be themselves behind

the chair and in the chair. A place to relax

with a cup of coffee while we make them

feel beautiful, not only on the outside, but

the inside as well. To feel balanced and beautiful, to empower one another 

authentically, to let the sparkle

shine however they may choose.
